Works with harbor freight 180 watt soldering gun
I bought these because harborfreight doesnt carry tips for the chicago electric soldering guns they sell. These are actually better as they tin better.

Works OK
It was not an exact replacement for the 30 year old soldering gun with a similar tip (but had a short 90 degree bend at each end.) However a bench vise worked well to make this similar and it operates just fine.

Too big diameter.
Was to big for my solder gun.

CHECK that you're ordering the right size
There are (at least) three similar sizes.I accidentally ordered a smaller size and altho it physically fit, it burnt out after 2 weeks. The correct size lasts as i've grown to expect over the decades. They are designed/manufactured to fail at exactly the same point just under the tip. In 50 years i've never had one to fail any other place. Why don't they make the "diameter" (cross-section) slightly larger for the first quarter inch under the tip... it'd be worth an extra $1 to have a premium tip that lasted twice as long.
