Ocean Blue Water Products Pro Dual Cam Aluminum Pole with EZ Release System (8'-16')

Easily the best skimmer/vacuum pole I have ever used. My inground pool has a nine-foot-deep end. Plenty of extension to reach bottom and very sturdy when extended. Great piece of equipment.

As far as ease of releasing the lock and extending the pole I would give it 5 stars but the design is outright stupid in my opinion for such a nice pole otherwise. You can extend the smaller diameter telescoping pole which is the end with the hand grip NOT the end with the attachment. This is the OPPOSITE of what it should do. It means for extended use (longer lengths) the larger diameter (and stronger but heavier) pole section is farther out and closets to the loaded net. This not only makes it harder on the user (feels heavier due to increased weight near the net end) and increases the moment (twisting force) on the smaller diameter and weaker section of the pole when it is used horizontally as in debris removal with a net. I have tried to think of any reason for this backwards design but can't come up with one. I have seen other reviews stating their poles broke and my first thought was "how is that possible" as strong as the large diameter pole is BUT my guess (although those reviews don't say this) is that any breakage ) or bending under load occurred when the telescoping pole was extended and excessive force was placed on the small pole section closest to the user. I am planning to see if I can modify this pole to move the attachment fitting to where the hand grip is and come up with some kind of grip for the larger diameter end but in the mean time this pole is better than the 20 year old one I couldn't adjust. BUT if it weren't so well made and easy to adjust I'd have returned it and looked for a better designed pole.

An excellent pole for the money. And an even better Co. to deal with. If you have a problem. Just call. And someone will get back to you in short order. Do their best to make sure you're satisfied. Unlike some other pool CO's. that sell here. I mentioned to Ocean Blue as I will here. If you use a Hayward Super vac pool vac. Be sure and order a pole without the easy release mechanism. As it and the EZ release are not a good fit. And will cause you a lot of grief. Other than that. A great pole that I work pretty hard. However if your into lifting a net packed full of wet leaves with the pole fully extended? Go with a commercial grade pro pole. But for average use. It's perfect. Certainly better than any of the big box store poles or any pole sold for residential use. For the record I've maintained a pool for 33 years. So I've been around the block a time or two.

Second one I’ve purchased.Like much better than the local pool non-commercial products at same price.And I love getting this big long package on my doorstep. Lol.Seriously. I don’t know how well it will be longevity wise, but I do know after a year in the sun and “cold” and pool water with its chemicals ( I don’t put away under any cover, they sit out in the conditions), the older one is holding up well. Bummed that the neon green handles (plastic parts) have faded but that is not unexpected. That is my fault for never putting away. Leave them leaning by fence 24/7. Will buy again and again. Fast delivery and I think cheaper than gin got local pool place and trying to figure out which to buy, getting assistance (especially summer months). It’s exhausting.Like to have this quality product show up in my doorstep.

I have the one advertised, and I wanted to get a second one to avoid changing the attachments so much. What I got was something completely different. It is not the same color, not anywhere the same quality, and clearly not the same product.

I was skeptical of buying since this product had only 2 reviews. But once I got it, here are positives:1. The color of pole stands out in bright professional look. It looks great near my pool.2. The release button is very useful! I can push it down on both sides and then push my scooper out. It's so much easier than pushing the clamps on both side. Every pole should have this feature! It fits for all standard size attachments.3. The cushions help with grip and feel.4. Easy to extend and tighten. It feels sturdy as well.Overall, a great buy that pays for itself with convenient features and look. Only info that I don't know is how long it'll last out in sun, especially the soft material.

Bought this pool pole from Ocean Blue products 8"-16" w/EZ Clip is The Best. I am a pool service contractor and service over 60 pools a day and this pole is solid.Couldn't get this exact pole, with a recent reorder, from Aqua Select. Looks to similar but not as good quality. I sure hope Ocean Blue didn't sell this design to them. Would be very disappointed if I couldn't get the original one again.

Much better than the usual poles you see at in the swim. Extends with ease, and locks in place. Don't have to twist your wrists off to keep in place. Good buy.
