Great Quality
Great for third grade Abeka curriculum history/state reinforcement. We put the puzzle together right away on our whiteboard after delivery. A couple of the states were a bit warped, however they were easily reshaped. Great quality, my kiddo and I love this puzzle, and I highly recommend.

Sturdy, colorful, easy to handle and fit together seamlessly
Having read the poor reviews I still bought the puzzle, and I am very pleased with it. Several people had received damaged goods, (hopefully they received refunds), ours arrived in a bubble envelope but luckily undamaged. Our pieces lie perfectly flat and abut together perfectly with their sister states. The magnetic power is nice and strong but not overly so, the color and graphics are very nice. Thanks to the review that let me know they had a peel back problem, I immediately made kids aware of that possibility and told them to NOT lift the pieces by the top paper but pry them if from behind the magnet and that has worked. Still trying to come up with a a solution that would seal the edges. The map pieces are not cardboard but foam board sandwiched between paper graphic and magnetic sheeting. Kids thoroughly enjoy this game and I am happy that this puzzle will not be scattered all over the floor!

Fun map!
My kindergartener loves this map! It's a fun way for her to learn the states and comprehend that they are separate from each other because of the magnets!

A fun way to help my autistic son learn states
I have a 6 y/o autistic son and some of his favorite educational toys has come from Learning Resources. I wanted him to start learning states and capitols in a way that would be fun so I bought this. He does like it but I think it could be a little better. I'll start with the cons:If you plan on putting this on the fridge, you need to make sure you have a wide fridge door that isn't too curved. It barely fits on ours (see pics) and Maine is constantly falling off the edge. I think we'll move this downstairs to our wall mounted white board. If you have little ones who can get their hands on this they will destroy the pieces pretty quickly. My 2 y/o nephew was at my house for a day and now a bunch of the states are bent and have teeth marks in them (see pics).I wish the magnets themselves had the capitol names on them so we could use them without the paper map and still learn capitols. The paper map is pretty heavily creased and some of the magnets have a hard time staying on over the top of the creases. This has gotten better with time, but still. It would be nice if the map outline page had its own magnets on it to keep it in place. Also, several of the New England/North Eastern states are lumped together because they're so small. I understand why they did it, but that's kind of a bummer. The good things are that this is big and good for small hands. The magnets are strong. Each piece is pretty well made, bright and colorful with a picture of something the state is known for. This would be fun for a variety of ages. All in all I like it, but it could certainly be better. Hopefully this helps someone else! I paid full price for this.

Hands on geography that sticks
This magnetic U.S. map puzzle is such a fun, tactile way to explore geography! The bright colors and sturdy pieces make it easy for kids to engage, and the puzzle-style layout helps reinforce state shapes and locations in a memorable way. It’s a hit in our homeschool routine—especially for visual and kinesthetic learners.I love that it works on the fridge or any flat metal surface, turning everyday spaces into learning zones. The included paper guide is a thoughtful touch, and the size is perfect for little hands. While a few magnets could be stronger and some pieces may shift, overall it’s a great tool for reinforcing state names and locations. If you’re looking for a playful, hands-on way to support U.S. geography, this puzzle delivers. Bonus: it pairs beautifully with history lessons and travel planning!

Nice learning product
The map pieces are magnetic backed firm foam. Texas, being large, was understandably malformed a tad due to packaging and shipping, but a little patience reformed it to be flat. The entire map is the perfect size for the side of our refrigerator. This can be a fun family game where you put it together, and then task the family imp to reshuffle some pieces once a week! Great for a casual and fun way to review location of states, and there are also some icons on most of the pieces that highlight something the state or area is known for (common product/landmark, etc.) Also comes with a pamphlet explaining the map pieces' icons. Nice value, nice price, and swift delivery.
