Effective and long lasting
Great for soaking up the moisture produced from sweaty feet using natural materials, such as salts. They are pretty long lasting too. We have three pairs for the various football, rugby and cricket footwear in use throughout the year and they have all lasted over a year each so far and don’t seem to be losing their ability to absorb moisture any time soon. The smell is also pleasant.

Great at helping odours but seams split
These bananas are great and do the job well. Infact so much so, we purchased a second pair. Unfortunately the second pair split at the seams after only a few weeks of use, meaning loose filling everywhere.Update- company reached out to resolve. Great, professional customer service. Thank you.

Top banana etc
These used in conjunction with the banana boot driers are excellent! They have a pleasant scent which leaves my footwear fresh and my feet feeling fresher still!Don't use them on damp footwear or you'll end up with stained bananas, nobody wants that! Also keep away from cats who have catnip banana toys. Don't say I didn't warn you!

Good, but...
Good.I had a few days off from work so I put the boot bananas in my work boots for 4 days straight, where they worked hard to very slowly neutralize an old, disgusting smell.I am a bit worried that the bananas have become discoloured after a single use, perhaps I got a bad batch?Overall recommended.UPDATE 2 WEEKS ON:Mold has grown on the bananas and they have become even more discoloured. I genuinely cannot imagine these lasting 2 months, much less the advertised 6 to 12 months. Not recommended at their current price point. If the price was halved, say £7, then they would be worth it. Not so at close to £17.UPDATE 3 WEEKS ON:I received a message from the seller explaining the item and its intended use and have realized I wasn't using the bananas as intended - If used in sweaty work boots, they're meant to be used in conjunction with their boot dryers, to avoid the bananas being oversaturated by sweat. Review moved to 5 stars due to attentiveness and professionalism of seller.

Helped with smell, but “turned” quickly
** Update **. Seller kindly sent replacement product, informing that there has been issues with a single batch of these. Happy to report the replacements worked perfectly and no signs of deterioration after a few uses - very happy. We’ve been struggling with the stench of our sons various boots for a number of seasons and have tried multiple ways to freshen them up with no real success. After seeing this on Amazon, thought we’d give them a go.Good news is - they really helped with the smell and although not completely gone, they’re definetly smelling a lot fresher and not causing the whole family to wretch whenever son opens his boot bag.The not so good news - after 2 hours in my sons boots, both bananas have now started to turn with brown dots appearing over them. Boots were slightly damp, but not overly wet when used so a bit disappointed as don’t see how these are now going to last the time claimed in the advertising.Overall, a great idea and seems as though they are effective at addressing the smell issue. However, if they need to replaced this often then it’s going to come very costly.

Coach’s wife recommended them, but I am soo disappointed.
I hoped this would get rid of the stinky smell in my son’s rugby boots. First use after practice, I thought “brilliant “! Really helped with the stinky boots. After the 3rd use, they are hard and black! Not exactly the 6 months of use I was hoping for. I tried seeing if I can contact the seller, but as we are past the return date.. it doesn’t seem possible.Update! The company contacted me and refunded me. Turns out, they can’t be used in wet shoes! That’s what caused the damage. Changed my rating, because the company really care and believe in their product. When used correctly, and not put in to wet boots.
