Venom - Charging Dock with Rechargeable Battery Packs for Meta Quest 2 / Oculus Quest 2

My grandson was delighted with this which was part of his birthday present this year.

My son had a VR headset and I was tired of tripping over wires and it being left around the room to charge plus the endless amounts of batteries for the controls. This is built brilliant, it's sturdy and tidy. Works perfectly, very impressed

Really great charging dock, the controller parts need a bit of work to fit but it's all good.

I was fed up with my kid leaving an expensive kit with cables attached lying around. This is fab as it keeps it all together and prevents cables getting caught by animals and charges at the same time. I do find the little magnet that attaches to charge the headset fidly to remove if it needs charged when playing but other than that can't fault it.

It charges the headset and controllers, with the supplied batteries. But I have one issue..and it's quite an important one. It is SOOO light..which means that if you have a 3rd party head strap..and leave the head strap extended after play..the unit will tip over backwards and knock the magnetic connector off 🤷 I wanted to keep it at the side of my PC monitor on top of my mini system..but it just keeps on falling off. Gonna have to physically attach it to something to stop it from moving whilst docking. Just bear it in mind.Edit: after using it for quite a few months now..the controller charging is quite hit and miss..need to wiggle them about to actually get a charging connection. Had a fair few times were I have gone to use the headset and it hasnt been charged 😐 Wouldn't recommend it.

The product works well, it is simple to install and very simple to use. The custom batteries (vs alternatives that use USB-C AA batteries) and replacement handle covers are well made and fit perfectly.We had a problem with our unit and so contacted Venom Support. Their support was fantastic. E-mails were responded to quickly, and once we realised that a replacement part was required, it was dispatched immediately and arrived 2 days later.I've bought several Venom chargers over the years but this is the first time I've had to contact their support. A key factor of where I choose to buy products from is whether I'm confident that if there is a problem it gets sorted out quickly and easily. Based on my experience with Venom, I will definitely be preferring them over others!

We spent 10 minutes trying to get the controllers to charge by positioning them exactly right. As soon as you let go of the controller they stop charging. When looking at the charging pins, 2 didn’t have the tips on. I feel this has the potential to be a great product however the charger is just really poor quality.

it's ok. use it has a holder more then charging. it hits a missing when charging
