Floral One Line a Day: A Five-Year Memory Book

COLORFUL & CUTE
The media could not be loaded. Beautiful. Front & back cover padded & cushy. Paper is quality, matte. A thick marker will give a little bleed through. Use fine point marker or ball point pen. Love the colors. The limited space for "one line a day" cuts the pressure of having to fill a traditional daily journal.

If you like to reminisce, this is for you.
If you're a sap like me, this little book is an ideal way to reminisce. This is my second "one line a day" five year memory book. I started one when my daughter was born in 2014. Jotting down a quick recap of the day is a nice little exercise in mindfulness, but the best part comes later. Here's why: Each page features the calendar date and 5 empty slots for you to record the year and a brief synopsis of the day. As the years progress, you'll look back and see what you wrote in previous years on that exact calendar date. You'll ultimately have five years of memories stacked on each page. I can't express how neat this experience is if you have a young child. The days are long, but the years are short. This book provides a great illustration of how rapidly life changes and teaches you to savor each moment. I absolutely love the format of this book! The design on this particular version is gorgeous. It's so pretty and very well made. The spine is sturdy (my previous one withstood some serious abuse) and the pages are gilded - fancy! If my house ever went up in flames, these books would be one of the "must have" items I'd grab! I highly recommend.

Handy and Pretty
I’ve always been terrible about keeping a journal, but something about knowing I only need to write a sentence or two each night seems more attainable, so I’m giving this a go. The journal itself is a convenient size to keep in my nightstand and I appreciate the ribbon, so I can quickly return to where I am in the book each night. I like the flowers on the cover and the gold edging on the pages, and the page thickness is sufficient. I use a Dr. Grip with fine point and I haven’t had any issues with bleed-through. The only possible improvement I could want is a lock on it, but hopefully no one in my house goes snooping. I’ve already found it helpful for settling those silly disputes with friends and family over things like on which day we did something so even if nothing else, it’s a handy record of things like that! :)

Precious memories
I wish I would it know about this earlier in my baby life. It’s easy to navigate and has enough room per day for you track your special moments.

Quality went down
This is my five-year review of the One Line A Day book. I’ve been collecting these since 2010, and the quality of the ink embossing on these books has noticeably gone down. The very first one I got still has the metallic embossing clear as day on it, though the covers are quite worn. But I can’t even read the title on the others even though they’re newer. Still worth buying but disappointed in the lower quality.

On My 3rd Book
I have been using these books for a total of 10 years now. This is my third book from this designer. Very well made. I love the gold edging to the pages and the ribbon bookmark.

Beautiful small diary
The media could not be loaded. I've wanted one of these diaries ever since I came across a post about someone finding their grandma's 5 year diary from early 1900's. This one is so beautiful 😍 I love the small size, because it's perfect to bring with me on travels. I also like how you only get a few lines each day, so it doesn't overwhelm you and it's just big enough for daily highlights. It looks like it's made with quality and should last me for 5 years without falling apart. I'd highly recommend this. And it will make a beautiful gift too.

A daily journal I can actually keep up with!
This is such a fantastic idea for journal-avoiders like myself. I DO want to keep track of major events in my life, but that's it. Like, "there was a blizzard today" or "the dog at the whole loaf of bread and I had to make her puke." Other than that, I don't want to pour out my heart to a book. This book is five years' worth in one volume. You get about six lines to write the major stuff of that day, or maybe what you're grateful for, or your 12-step slogan of the day - whatever - but it's only a few lines, not pages...and pages...and pages... of lines. And, I have actually written in it EVERY DAY FOR A MONTH, which for me is a record. Now I'll remember stuff, especially as I get older and...you know. Forget everything. Grandma Blondie says THUMBS UP!
