Q: Has anyone found that their cats do better with added litter pellets (more than the recommended amount)?

Yes. I have two 5 mth old kittens. When their stool is moist it sticks to the pellets and inside of box needs to be cleaned. Just scrubbed today and am adding more pellets to prevent this,

Q: I heard that you can put the used pellets in a laundry bag and wash in the washer. And even put the washed bag in dryer. Has anyone did this?

I'll use a whole 7lb bag with 2 cats, but I have also learned that you can wash the pellets to make them last longer. I replace the pellets with new ones 1x a month. Saves me a ton of money doing it that way. I have 2 litter systems, so when one is drying, I'll clean the other one. But it only takes 30 minutes to dry for me, cause I'll put the freshly cleaned ones in a net bag and but it in the dryer. I don't wash them in my washer because the cycle is to harsh and I don't need pellets stuck in my washer. I have put them in the dish washer before tho.

I have NEVER once been able to locate a price online that is cheaper than my local pet store(s). One needs to consider that aside from trying to make a profit, the cost of shipping heavy products is always going to be a determining factor. However, if you do not have a local store for which to buy from, then I guess you are just stuck paying whatever amount the suppliers wish to charge (sorry).
