Pro-Ject High Power it, Grounded Power Supply for Pro-Ject 15V DC Turntables

Had trouble with humming for a while, even with earth leads. Thought I was doing connecting something wrong. Saw this & bought on the off-chance it would work & by God it did!! Amazing sound now through my debut carbon esprit, totally eliminated any humming, great product! The only gripe I have is why these don't come as standard on all pro-ject turntables?

I linked the project debut evo to my Ruark R410. There was an annoying interference noise in the background. Checked the earthing and other recommended checks. A suggestion was to replace the original plug with this powered plug, which I did. And the noise went away.

Straight forward plug in and go, it has reduced the buzzing on my turntable considerably (although you can still hear it as bit. The turntable also seems to have more torque and gets up to speed much more quickly, also when you change speed it gets there more quickly. Overall a better improvement. Begs the question why does Project not just charge another 20 quid when buying a turntable and include it in the first place.

The power supply originally supplied with the turntable failed, so time for a new one. This feels like a much more substantial replacement, there is definitely some reduction in the very slight buzz that was audible at very high volumes (it was never actually an issue at normal listening levels), and I also feel there is an extra stability in the sound from the more stable motor speed the better quality power supply gives. Definitely worth upgrading to I think.

Had significant humming using DC Evo with IFI phono amp. Fixed temporarily running separate earth cable from amp to plug socket, but this replacement power supply has since fixed the issue 100%

I spoke with the importer/supplier of project systems, and they assured me that this item would properly earth my RPM5 and remove the need for the use of a single earth wire which connects from the turntable to amp.I connected the cables switched the amp on and noise was terrible, it made me jump to the point of filling my underpants with last nights tea.I do not recommend this item, save your money and buy some lovely new vinyl instead

Lost my wall wart adapter during my move to the UK. Bought this as replacement and works great. Specs say this is supposed to be better, so let's hope my ears pick that up at a certain point in time (meaning I hear no audible difference)

Bought because my Project Debut Pro hummed badly with my Naim amp and Project phono stage. Attached to turntable, replacing the pack in and the hum has totally gone. Part of me is very happy the other thinks maybe this should be included Mitch the higher end Project decks as standard
