Q: Is this suitable for outdoor items such as stitching of trampoline nets?

I would have thought you would need some industrial type of thread and not this polyester, as it is mostly used for dressmaking and furnishings. For a trampoline which would be heavy wear, potentially it could become a safety issue if what you use is not strong enough.

Q: Can this thread be used for freehand machine embroidery?

I don’t see why not, but I do think the machine embroidery one they sell would stand out more, hope that helps ...l

Hello, This is just a normal everyday stitching thread for sewing on buttons and patching up holes in clothes (which is what I use it for). It would not be my first choice for stitching up loops that are likely to be under that kind of stress. We do have another product call nymo, which is widely available, that was primarily used in stitching/ the manufacture of upholstery and has been adopted by the beading world. This is used for beadweaving because it is incredibly strong and very thin. I would use this. You may have to buy size 10 beading needles to sew with as I can't remember if this thread can be easily threaded through an eye of a normal household needle. I hope this helps.

Q: How strong is this? My machine is sometimes ripping thread so I'd like a stronger one.

The Sew All thread is quite strong and I would definitely recommend it, but I would also suggest adjusting the tension on your machine - either the upper or lower depending on which thread is being broken. Your machines instruction book will have detail of how this is done. If you no longer have the manual you should be able to find it on-line. Hope this helps.

bought to match yellow thread on Jeans I was altering

Good quality thread, didn't snap in sewing machine. Ideal for the job I am doing - altering Jeans - this matches the yellow thread already on the jeans (but isn't quite as thick as the stuff used by the manufacturer, but its not a problem)
