Briggs & Stratton992425 Universal Ride-On Tractor Lawn Mower Cover

It was hard from the description to know what size it would be, answer almost too big but it does it's job.I have a new small Hyundai petrol mower that does not fold up like my previous Flymo so occupied too much space in the garage I moved it into my cupboard sized "shed" after taking of the handles. Now the grass cutting season has arrived I wanted something that will provide almost instant access as it will be used on an almost weekly basis. The cover is well made and appears to be durable and water proof but it is a little too big for the mower meaning that the recent persistent strong winds did blow it off once I solved this with a couple of bricks to weigh it down even though there are pull cords to tighten the cover but this seemed a bit of a faff. The mower now sits snuggly and well protected on the strip of ground between our house and the neighbours, a sheltered position in any case.I recommend this.

This is a really well-made cover, that is adjustable via a pair of toggle cords to fit pretty much any ride on mower/lawn tractor up to the maximum stated dimensions. The cover absolutely dwarfs my Dad's Efco Zephyr ride-on mower - even with the clippings bag installed the cover is really large in every dimension. The large amount of unoccupied space seems to be a problem in anything more than lightly breezy conditions - the cover acts as a wind break/balloon creating sufficient drag that, if sustained, it provides enough force to loosen the cords and can pull the cover off the machine. The only way I have been able to combat this is by not only pulling the cords to their tightest setting, or adding weights, but tucking the edges of the cover beneath the wheels of the ride on, so that it is actively held down. As long as you can get it to remain in place, the cover is excellent.

Very happy with the Briggs & Stratton cover. It has proven itself to be fully waterproof. It is a nice size and easily covers our Black & Decker with cover to spare. It has a useful pull around section such that you can pull securely around base. Whilst it was relatively expensive, the expense is worth it to protect value products (after all lawnmowers are not cheap). A good buy!

Have had this for over a month and has withstood the great British weather excellently & I don’t doubt will do for a long time. Thick, good quality material, leaves me with no worries about leaving the lawnmower outside even in torrential rain as long as this cover is on. There are two drawstrings at the bottom to ensure a really snug fit under the mower as well which is excellent. Very roomy so will suit even very large walk behind mowers. Good value for money. Would definitely recommend.

This fitted well and the tightners at the bottom were effective. However, most ride on tractors have bits that stick out and this is where damage occurred as soon as the weather became windy. Thereafter, it ripped quite quickly. As my mower lives outside, I have replaced this with a more robust product.

I have a 53cm (21'') McCulloch mower and after reading reviews of several other covers, they were clearly going to be too small. This one states on the box that it will fit up to 55cm and it clearly would, covering nicely (roomy, but not ridiculously so) the whole of my mower, deck, wheels and handles etc. It couldn't be a much better fit, if it was made to measure. It also has a double cord sewn into the hem, which you can tighten to stop it blowing off in the wind. I saw the other review about it being flimsy, which seems a little harsh, I guess 'mid weight' is how I would describe it, but only time will tell how strong it actually is and whether it stands up to being left outside in the winter.
