Professional nails
This is amazing. In order for it to work well this is what you need to do. Be prepared for a long review.1.Start by using a Cuticle remover (sally hansen) and remove your cuticles. You should also use a Cuticle remover tool. Then take any sort of nailed file and file down your nails to the desired shape and sand the base and top of your nail as well. This makes your nails porous so the polish actually has something to stick to.2. Take an alcohol wipe or a nail dehydrater polish and apply that onto the entire nail. This takes all the unwanted oils out of your nail.3. Apply a nail prep. You can buy a nail Dehydrator and nail prep kit if you need. It's like $5.4. You need to buy a bulder gel, base coat, and top coat in order for the nails to last. Additionally, the most important on this list, is investing in a very good $40-$50 nail lamp. Don't use a cheap one. This is perfect for that.5. You will use the base gel first. Apply a thin coat and put it under the lamp for 1 minute.6. Apply the builder gel. Make sure it has good shape because this is what will give your nails the professional look. Put it on under the lamp for one minute.7. Apply a coat of whatever color you want and put it under the lamp for 1 minute. Repeat 2 or 3 times.8. Apply the top coat and put it under the lamp for 1 minute.9. You're done!10. (Removal) take a nail drill and drill away the nail polish. You don't need to drill away the builder gel. This list will cost you about 80 dollars to buy, which is what most nail salons charge. Invest in it now and you get to do your nails whenever you want!

Salon quality nail light
I already had a nail light but I couldn’t fit my whole hand into it because it was a mini light which takes forever to do my nails. This fits my whole hand and I can vary the time for base, color and top coat. I like that I can turn it on and set the desired time and just stick my hand in and it comes on automatically and shuts off when the time is up. I do not have to keep pressing the button to turn it on for each coat and hand. It works as well as the ones used in the salon when I used to go get my nails done. When I am done I just pack it back in the box to store away until next time. It takes up very little space but is large enough to fit my whole hand which cuts down on time doing my nails. The removable mirrored base feature is great along with the design of the lights running along the sides so I feel that it cures my nails from all angles.

Works as it should! I’m satisfied
I had my nail tech use it on me first. It’s great. It does exactly as it should. I’ve had it for less than a month and used it several times already. Time settings are meh. Just do it a couple extra times on 60 seconds. It gets the job done, so I’m satisfied! And my nails look great. Haven’t had any issues post curing.

NOT for Gel-X, may be ok for regular gel. You get what you pay for.
I am a DIY nail girly and I’ve been using this lamp for a couple years on and off. With the exception of 1 product (the beetles blooming gel) it has done a pretty solid job. However, my manicures have never lasted well despite diligent nail prep, which prompted me to finally put this lamp to the test. Well, that’s exactly what I did. The lamp does emit at the right wavelengths (~355 and ~405 nm) to cure most gels, but the irradiance (basically a measure of the amount of light hitting your nail) is low. The max irradiance I measured was about 25 mW/cm^2 (see pic) — much lower than professional lamps, which are in the 30-70 mW/cm^2 range — and as I moved the sensor around to the different positions each of my nails would usually be during curing, this dropped as low as 10 mW/cm^2. Specifically for curing your thumbs and pinkies, which will be at the edges of the lamp where irradiance was lowest, this puts you at risk of under curing and developing a gel allergy. This risk will be amplified if you aren’t curing for long enough, or are applying product too heavily, or using this lamp for gel-x, which needs higher irradiance to cure the gel through the tip. Is this lamp probably better than most on Amazon? In my opinion, yes. It has served me well and, with some luck and by taking a lot of care in my application and the quality of gel products I used, I never developed an allergy. That said, after taking these measurements, I will be upgrading to a profession-grade lamp. If you can afford it, I would recommend anyone else do the same.* for reference, my measurements in this post and the accompanying pictures were taken using an ocean optics spectrometer (not sure the model) and Thorlabs S120VC photodiode power sensor

Professional Results at Home – Fast, Cute & Reliable!
I purchased this UV lamp on June 13, 2024, and it’s honestly one of the best nail tools I’ve added to my setup. The curing is fast and even, thanks to the 48W power and the multiple light beads inside. It works great with gel polish, builder gel, and even rhinestone glue. The auto sensor is super convenient — just slide your hand in and it turns on automatically. The timer buttons (10s, 30s, 60s) are perfect for different steps in the process, and the lamp stays cool during use. Plus, the baby pink color is adorable and matches my salon vibe perfectly!Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, this lamp gives salon-quality results without spending a fortune. I highly recommend it for anyone serious about nails.

A solid product for beginners to use for at home manicures
I’ve had this UV light for a few months now and it works as expected. My gel manicures are cured in a timely manner. Sometimes I do experience a little extra heat but that’s because me applying too much gel and has nothing to do with the lamp’s quality.
